Patches downloaded from My Oracle Support use a different name format, for example p26875767_181100_Linux-x86-64.zip. If you are using Oracle Exadata System Software 18c (18.1.0) or 18c (18.1.1), then you must rename the downloaded patch file so it has a name like 18.1.1.0.0.171018. Starting with Oracle Exadata System Software release 18.1.2, the ALTER SOFTWAREUPDATE command accepts patch names of the form p26875767_181100.
The value of the availableTo attribute is set to the names of the clients that you want to set up for DB-scoped security. These clients were assigned security keys that match keys in the configuration files on the hosts.
To accomplish this atomic_write creates a temporary file. That's the file the code in the block actually writes to. On completion, the temporary file is renamed, which is an atomic operation on POSIX systems. If the target file exists atomic_write overwrites it and keeps owners and permissions. However there are a few cases where atomic_write cannot change the file ownership or permissions, this error is caught and skipped over trusting in the user/filesystem to ensure the file is accessible to the processes that need it.
If the dev profile is not active, MyProperties.map contains one entry with key key1 (with a name of my name 1 and a description of my description 1).If the dev profile is enabled, however, map contains two entries with keys key1 (with a name of dev name 1 and a description of my description 1) and key2 (with a name of dev name 2 and a description of dev description 2).
If you choose to configure LDAP secure access when setting up OpenDJ directory server, the setup program generates a key pair in the JKS /path/to/opendj/config/keystore, and self-signs the public key certificate, which has the alias server-cert. The password for the keystore and the private key is stored in cleartext in the file /path/to/opendj/config/keystore.pin.
The user running OpenDJ directory server must have access to all server files, including configuration files, data files, log files, keystores, truststores and their password files, and other files. By default OpenDJ lets users in the same group as the user running the server read server files, though not directory data files.
By default OpenDJ directory server stores passwords for keystores and truststores in configuration files with .pin extensions. These files contain the cleartext, randomly generated passwords. Keep the PIN files readable and writable only by the user running the server. Alternatively, you can use the dsconfig command to configure the server to store keystore and truststore passwords in environment variables or Java properties if your procedures make these methods more secure in production. The settings to change are those of the Key Manager Providers and Trust Manager Providers.
The examples also apply when replacing a key pair in the keystore and copy of the server certificate in truststore. Just adapt the commands to use the correct keystore, truststore, and PIN file names.
When AutoYaST is probing the storage devices, the partitioning section from the profile is not yet analyzed. In some scenarios, it is not clear which key should be used to unlock a device. For example, this can happen when more than one encryption key is defined. To solve this problem, AutoYaST will try all defined keys on all encrypted devices until a working key is found.
If the profile defines a set of SSH authorized keys for a user in the authorized_keys section, an existing $HOME/.ssh/authorized_keys file will be overwritten. If not existing, the file will be created with the content specified. Avoid overwriting an existing authorized_keys file by not specifying the respective section in the AutoYaST control file.
linuxrc will always look for and parse a file called /linuxrc.config. Use this file to change default values if you need to. In general, it is better to use the info file instead. Note that /linuxrc.config is read before any info file, even in manual mode.
crashdump_start_dp, crashdump_end_dp.These options make it possible to produce a crash dump of aspecified range of disk pages. In case the server runs out of diskspace during a dump, the error message indicates the page at whichthe next dump should be started after the user has made more spaceavailable. In this case it is important to rename the alreadyproduced crash dump or change the Logx= -entries in virtuoso.ini toavoid overwriting said files. If none of these options areprovided, the server will attempt a crash dump of the entiredatabase storage.
TimezonelessDatetimes. EnablesTimezoneless Support. Different applications may require differentbehavior when input data contain timezoneless values. In some casesit is better to "cast" all of them to timezoned than to upgradeexisting code. Virtuoso offers 5 different modes of support -- 0,1, 2, 3 and 4. This should be set before creating the database andthe set value is stored in the database. After database is created,an attempt to change the mode by patching virtuoso.ini will have no effectand virtuoso.log will contain a warning about mismatch betweenvirtuoso.ini and the database file. 2ff7e9595c
